The ALCA Excellence Awards shine a spotlight on the remarkable individuals, companies, and projects driving innovation, inclusion, and transformation within the African language services industry.

Through this celebration, we aim to recognize and honor those who are not only shaping the future of language services in Africa but also making meaningful contributions to social and economic development across the continent.

Award Categories

1. Most Remarkable African Localization Project
For a localization project that demonstrates measurable social or economic impact, community involvement, and alignment with the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

2. Language Access and Inclusion Award
Honoring initiatives that significantly improve access to critical information for underserved or multilingual communities.

3. Rising Star Award
Celebrating emerging companies or entrepreneurs who are redefining language services in Africa through innovation and resilience.

4. Outstanding Contribution to African Languages
For individuals or organizations making lasting contributions to the promotion, preservation, or technological advancement of African languages.

5. Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Language Services
Recognizing a company or organization using language services to create social good, amplify marginalized voices, or promote linguistic inclusion.

General Eligibility

• Nominees must be based in Africa, of African origin, or focused on African languages/markets (including diaspora contributions).
• Eligible activities must have occurred between 2023–2024.
• Individuals, companies, or teams are welcome to apply.

• 500-word summary of achievements
